Marlins Crown Royals

The Miami Marlins got a 6-1 victory over the Kansas City Royals at loanDepot park on Tuesday night. The Marlins extended their winning streak to five games and have won nine of their last 11 contests. They can pick up a three-game series sweep of the Royals tomorrow.
Miami(34-28) gathered five runs during the bottom of the fifth. Jesus Sanchez lifted a solo home run to left field on the first pitch of the frame for his fifth homer this year. Five batters later, Arraez drove in Joey Wendle with a base hit into left field. Two batters later, Bryan De La Cruz cleared the bases as he tripled to deep right which brought in Jean Segura, Nick Cortes and Arraez.
Kansas City(18-43) answered back quickly in the top of the sixth. Marlins starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo threw a wild pitch and Nick Pratto crossed the plate.
The Fish regained a five-run cushion in the seventh inning. De La Cruz walked with the bases loaded for Arraez to reach home.
