AM 560 Sports WQAM-AM rose from a 0.6 to a 1.1 and almost doubled their audience in a month. The Miami Heat knocked off the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals and were on their way to beat the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Florida Panthers upset the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals, defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Eastern Conference Semifinals and swept the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Finals to win the Eastern Conference title and reach the Stanley Cup Final. WQAM did not have a local NFL Draft show on the first night during the event because the Miami Dolphins had no first-round pick. It was the first time that it happened to WQAM since 1992.
Fox Sports 940 WINZ-AM stayed at a 0.1 for the third straight period. The Miami Marlins had a 25-25 record and were tied with the New York Mets for the final wild-card spot in the National League.
The WQAM stream was at a 0.2 for the third straight month. The postseason performances by the Miami Heat and the Florida Panthers have helped. WKIS-FM-HD2 was a 0.0 for the fourth consecutive month because the audience has found WQAM on another internet stream.
