Padres Dominate Marlins

The San Diego Padres pounded the Miami Marlins 10-1 at loanDepot park on Thursday. The Marlins host the Oakland A's this weekend while the Padres return home to face the Chicago Cubs.
Miami(29-28) scored their only run of the contest in the bottom of the third for a 1-0 lead. Luis Arraez hit a sacrifice fly to left field and Jonathan Davis scored.
San Diego(26-30) took over for the next three innings. The Padres got two runs in the fourth inning. Fernando Tatis Jr. connected with a ground-rule double to right-center field and Ha-Seong Kim crossed the plate. Three batters later, Brandon Dixon drove in Tatis with a sacrifice fly into center field.
They made it 3-1 during the fifth inning. Gary Sanchez bashed a solo home run to left field on a 3-2 pitch for his second home run of the season. It was just his third game with his new team. The Friars piled on seven runs in the top of the sixth and had a comfortable nine-run margin.
