Marlins Shut Out A's

The Miami Marlins blanked the Oakland A's 4-0 at loanDepot park on Friday night. It was the start of a three-game weekend series between both clubs.
It is uncertain that this will be the last time the A's play in Miami while representing the city of Oakland. The A's will not return to South Florida until 2025 and it is possible that the A's franchise may move to Las Vegas.
Miami(30-28) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Jesus Sanchez sliced a two-run homer to left field on the first pitch with Bryan De La Cruz aboard. It was the fourth home run of the season for Sanchez.
Oakland(12-47) surrendered two more runs in the bottom of the fifth and trailed 4-0. Jorge Soler knocked in Jacob Stallings on a double into the left-field corner. De La Cruz came up next and singled through the right side which brought in Soler.
