American Heritage(11-2) makes their second state title game appearance in the past three seasons. The Pats, currently on a 10-game winning streak, have outscored their opponents 398-201 this season. They routed Jensen Beach 40-7 in a regional quarterfinal, pushed by Dillard 24-14 in a regional semifinal, powered by Miami Norland 35-14 in a regional final and outdueled St. Augustine 38-28 in a state semifinal.
The Patriots have a balanced offense with quarterbacks Malachi Toney and Dia Bell at the helm. They will fire passes to wide receivers Jamar Denson, Brandon Bennett, Jeffar Jean-Noel and Judah Stubbs. Running back Byron Louis will get the majority of the carries from the backfield followed by Isaiah Calixte and Dylan Bennett.
Jones(14-0) had a stranglehold of Central Florida high school football during the regular season. The Tigers outscored their opponents 490-151 this year. They stomped Lecanto 42-7 in the regional quarterfinal, knocked off Zephyrhills 41-19 in the regional semifinal, beat Vanguard 27-13 in the regional final and defeated Naples 18-7 in the state semifinal.
The Tigers have Dereon Coleman as their quarterback. He can connect passes to wide receivers Vernell Brown III, Larry Miles and Walki Ambroise. Their rushing attack consists of running backs Jaquail Smith and Daunte Wallace.
