Venice Pummels Lake Mary For Class 7A Title

     The Venice Indians blew out the Lake Mary Rams 52-19 in the FHSAA Class 7A state championship at Pitbull Stadium in Miami on Saturday afternoon. It was the second state championship contest that did not involve any high school from South Florida. 
     The Indians won their first championship since 2021. They played in their fourth straight state title game and captured their fourth overall state crown. 
     Venice(14-1) had a 7-0 advantage in the opening quarter. They outscored Lake Mary(12-3) with a 24-6 output in the second quarter and led 31-6 at halftime.
     The Indians added two more touchdowns during the third quarter and had a 45-13 lead. The Rams were outscored in every quarter of the contest.
