Chaminade-Madonna Slams Trinity Christian Academy

     The Chaminade-Madonna Lions dominated the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors 35-6 at Vince Zappone Field in Hollywood during a FHSAA Class 1A state semifinal. The Lions will attempt to capture their fourth consecutive state championship next Wednesday night in Miami against Clearwater Central Catholic. 
     Chaminade-Madonna(12-2) waited until the final minute of the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead. Quarterback Tyler Chance sent a 28-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Jasen Lopez. 
     The Lions had a 14-0 advantage at the six-minute mark of the second quarter. Chance connected an 18-yard touchdown strike to wide receiver Denairius Gray.
     In the third quarter, it became 21-0 for Chaminade-Madonna two minutes into the second half. Quarterback Bekkem Kritza fired a 60-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Derrek Cooper. 
     Trinity Christian Academy(10-4) surrendered another seven points with five minutes remaining in the third and the Conquerors trailed 28-0. Lopez caught a 22-yard touchdown pass from Kritza. 
     The Lions made it a 35-point margin with seven minutes left in the final quarter. Chance reentered the game and found wide receiver Kyle Washington on a 23-yard touchdown.
