The Booker T. Washington Tornadoes made one of the longest trips in the state and lost to the Gadsden County Jaguars 47-27 in a FHSAA Class 2A state semifinal clash on Friday night. The Jaguars will be involved in the state title game next Friday afternoon.
Gadsden County(13-1) moved out to a 7-0 advantage and Booker T. Washington(10-3) was able to tie it up 7-7 in the first quarter. Both teams reached the end zone once in the second quarter and the contest was even 14-14 at halftime.
The Jaguars outscored the Tornadoes 21-7 during the third quarter for a 35-21 lead. Gadsden County held Booker T. Washington in the final quarter.
