Pistons Roar By Heat

     The Detroit Pistons eased by Miami Heat 125-124 in overtime at Little Caesars Arena on Monday night. The Heat played in their second game during an 11-day stretch. 
     Detroit(11-16) held a slight 33-32 advantage at the end of the first quarter. The Pistons went on a 14-5 spurt at the start of the second quarter and led 63-59 at halftime. 
     Miami(13-11) surrendered a 19-7 run in the beginning of the second half and trailed 97-81 after three quarters. The Heat made up the double-digit margin and tied it 114-114 on a Tyler Herro three-point shot with five seconds left in the fourth quarter. 
     The Heat scored the first six points in overtime. Detroit came back on a 9-2 run with back-to-back-to-back three-point shots made by Tim Hardaway Jr. for the lead. 
     Jimmy Butler led the Heat with a game-high 35 points, 19 rebounds and 10 assists for a triple-double. Herro was able to contribute 23 points while Duncan Robinson had 13 points. Bam Adebayo compiled 15 points and eight rebounds. 
     Malik Beasley ended up with a team-high 28 points for the Pistons. Cade Cunningham nailed a triple-double with 20 points, 18 assists and 11 rebounds. Hardaway finished with 16 points and Ausar Thompson chalked up 19 points along with nine rebounds.
