All the college football magazines were rolled out on Tuesday and several former local high school players appeared. South Florida Sport reported back on May 14 which players showed up on all regional covers of Phil Steele's College Football Preview.
The person that was on the most magazines that were released on Tuesday was University of Miami Hurricanes running back Duke Johnson. He appeared on the front cover of Sporting News and Lindy's. The former player that led the Norland Vikings to a FHSAA Class 5A state championship in 2011 appeared on the national edition of Lindy's because that publication ceased to produce a regional ACC magazine for the first time in 26 years.
Another player that was on the Lindy's national edition due to no ACC regional cover was Florida State Seminoles defensive back Lamarcus Joyner. He played for the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders in 2009 and Miami Southwest from 2006 until 2008.
