The Miami Heat played from behind for most of the contest as they fell 97-93 to the Indiana Pacers in game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Friday night at American Airlines Arena. The best-of-seven series is even at one game apiece.
Indiana jumped out with a 24-12 lead and were ahead 28-22 after one quarter. The Pacers led throughout the second quarter and were up 53-47 at halftime.
Miami closed the deficit down and were behind 76-74 after three quarters. The Heat took the lead early in the fourth quarter, however the Pacers scored eight of the last ten points in the final three minutes of the game to get the victory.
The Heat were led by LeBron James with a team-high 36 points and eight rebounds in 45 minutes. Chris Bosh knocked down 17 points with five rebounds in 37 minutes. Dwyane Wade added 14 points, six rebounds and five assists in 41 minutes.
All five starters for the Pacers scored in double figures. Roy Hibbert had a double-double with 29 points and 10 rebounds in 39 minutes. Paul George got 22 points and six assists in 39 minutes while George Hill contributed 18 points and five rebounds in 41 minutes. David West poured in 13 points with seven rebounds.
