The Miami Marlins have acquired starting pitchers Andrew Cashner, Colin Rea and minor leaguer pitcher Tayron Guerrero from the San Diego Padres for pitchers Jarred Cosart and Carter Capps along with minor league players first baseman Josh Naylor and pitcher Luis Castillo.
Cashner has a record of 4-7 with a 4.76 earned run average along 67 strikeouts in 79 innings of work this season. He has been with the Padres since 2012 when he was traded by the Chicago Cubs for Anthony Rizzo. Cashner was a staring pitcher with San Diego for five seasons and has a career record of 30-49 with a 3.73 earned run average.
