The Florida Panthers finished off a seven-game home stand with a 6-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings at BB&T Center on Saturday night. Roberto Luongo tied former Panthers netminder Ed Belfour for third all-time in NHL history with 484 wins as a goalie.

Florida(27-25-8) took a 1-0 lead with 8:04 left in the first period. Vincent Trocheck made a pass to Evgenii Dadonov in the low left circle and received it back. He put a wrist shot by Jonathan Quick for his sixth goal of the year.
Los Angeles(23-32-6) answered back with 6:01 remaining in the first with an unassisted tally. Dustin Brown stole the puck from Keith Yandle at the Panthers blue line. He skated down the right side, through the right circle and snapped a high snap shot from the right of the crease past Luongo. It was the first goal for Brown in the last 13 games and his 13th goal of the season.
In the second period, the Panthers regained the lead 2-1 with 6:27 to go. Anze Kopitar took a shot from the right circle that went wide and it carried out of the zone. Jonathan Huberdeau came out of the penalty box, got the puck and went on a breakaway. He skated to the crease and scored on a forehand shot for his 17th goal of the campaign.
They added a 5-on-3 power-play goal with 1:44 left in the second. Aleksander Barkov traded the puck back-and-forth with Yandle in the high slot. He waited and then blasted in a slapshot. It was the 25th goal of the season for Barkov, who now has six goals in the last four games.
The Cats continued to coast as they got another power-play tally with 37.5 seconds remaining. Yandle took a snap shot from the high slot area on a feeds from Barkov and Huberdeau.
Two players from Florida both got their initial goals of the campaign in a 28-second span during the third period. Jamie McGinn was playing in his 600th NHL game and he snapped a shot from the right circle for an unassisted goal at 6:14.
Ian McCoshen added a tally at the 6:42 mark with a slapshot from the top of the zone. Troy Brouwer and Henrik Borgstrom were credited with assists on the play.
