Warriors Jump Over Heat

     The defending two-time defending NBA champions the Golden State Warriors hosted the Miami Heat and won 120-118 at Oracle Arena on Sunday night. It was the last time that the Heat will visit Oakland. The Warriors move into a new arena in San Francisco next season.
     Miami(25-29) rocketed out with a 26-7 run to begin the contest and were up 34-24 after the first quarter. The Heat held off their opponent and were still ahead 59-54 at halftime. Golden State(40-15) got the momentum as they outscored Miami 36-23 to go up 90-82 after three quarters.
     The contest came to the final minute of the fourth quarter. Dwyane Wade blocked a Kevin Durant shot and scored on a fast-break dunk with 54.8 seconds followed by a Josh Richardson steal and dunk with 51.5 seconds to go for a Miami 118-115 lead. The Warriors got a three-point shot by Durant with 42.7 seconds remaining to tie the game 118-118. Draymond Green made two free throws with 5.4 seconds left to finish the game.
     Richardson led the Heat with a career-high 37 points and Dion Waiters pulled up for 24 points. Hassan Whiteside compiled a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds. Justice Winslow added 22 points and Wade placed in 10 points. Durant had a game-high 39 points for the Warriors. Clay Thompson dropped down 29 points while Stephen Curry put in 25 points.
