Coronavirus Cancels Marlins Home Opener

     The home opener for the Miami Marlins on Monday night at Marlins Park versus the Baltimore Orioles has been cancelled by Major League Baseball, The reason was due to the spread of the coronavirus among Miami Marlins personnel. Their other contest to be played on Tuesday night against the O's has also been postponed. 
     It was mentioned on Monday that eight Marlins players along with two coaches had tested positive for the coronavirus. This brings the total number of people travelling with the club up 13. 
     The Marlins had just finished a three-game series in Philadelphia against the Phillies and the team did not take a flight back to Miami. The club currently remains in Philadelphia.
