Phillies Down Marlins

The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Miami Marlins 7-1 on Saturday at Citizens Bank Park. Both clubs will play for final game of the three-game series on Sunday. Zack Wheeler made his pitching debut with the Phillies as he allowed one run on five hits in seven innings.
Philadelphia(1-1) got out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Didi Gregorius, in his second game with the franchise, walloped a solo home run to right field on a 0-2 pitch.
Miami(1-1) evened it up 1-1 during the top of the fifth. Miguel Rojas knocked in Brian Anderson with line-drive base hit into center field.
In the sixth inning, the Phillies regained the lead 3-1. Phil Gosselin ripped a two-run homer to left-center field on the first pitch that scored Scott Kingery from first.
J.T. Realmuto would burn his former team in the bottom of the seventh with his first hit of the season. He pounded a three-run homer to straight-away center field on a 2-2 pitch. Rhys Hoskins and Bryce Harper were both able to score in front of him on the play.
The Phillies added another run in the eighth inning. Gosselin got his second home run of the contest. He smashed a solo homer to right-center field on a 3-1 count.
