Rickie Ricardo On WMEN-AM Yankees Broadcasts

     Former Miami radio announcer Rickie Ricardo was heard on Wednesday night and Thursday night at Fox Sports 640 South Florida WMEN-AM on the New York Yankees Radio Network. He filled in as the play-by-play announcer for John Sterling and worked alongside Susyn Waldman for the Yankees road contests against the Baltimore Orioles. He also did the ensuing three home games versus the Boston Red Sox. 

     Ricardo is the Spanish language radio voice of the New York Yankees and has been in that position since 2014. He still handles the Spanish language radio play-by-play duties for the Philadelphia Eagles. Ricardo sometimes works as a weekend sports host on Sports Radio 94 WIP-FM in Philadelphia. 

     He was based in Miami back in the mid-2000s. Ricardo was the morning co-host at WZTA-FM and sports reporter for Clear Channel Miami. He became the Spanish language radio play-by-play announcer of the Philadelphia Phillies from 2007 until 2013.
