Some Local Players Have Coronavirus

Several local teams have recently mentioned that the coronavirus has infected some players on their roster. Clubs had to adjust their practice schedules as a precaution.
The Miami Heat have seen their training facility at American Airlines Arena close twice in a little over a week. Derrick Jones Jr. was listed to have the coronavirus and practices were stopped from June 26 to June 28. Two other unnamed players have gotten it over this weekend and the practice facility was shut down on July 3. The Heat will resume team practices after they travel to Orlando on July 8 and resume the 2019-20 season.
The Miami Marlins had their first summer training practice at Marlins Park on July 3. Four participants on their 60-player pool had already contracted the coronavirus prior to June 30.
It is fortunate that some local clubs do not have any players with the coronavirus. The Florida Panthers, Inter Miami CF and Miami FC have been running practices over the last couple of weeks.
