Cubs Slip By Marlins

The Chicago Cubs erased a two-run deficit and pushed by the Miami Marlins 4-2 on Saturday at Wrigley Field. The Marlins extended their losing streak up to a season-high five games.
Miami(16-18) broke out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Bryan De La Cruz fisted a single into right field on a full count for Jorge Soler to score.
It became 2-0 for the Fish during the third inning. Soler burned his former team with a solo home run to left field on a 1-1 pitch for his seventh homer of the season.
Chicago(17-16) made it 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth. Matt Mervis, who played in his second Major League Baseball game, sliced a base hist to left field and Cody Bellinger crossed the plate.
The Cubs rallied with three runs in the bottom of the eighth and led 4-2. Nick Mardigal singled on the first pitch through the right side for Bellinger and Nelson Velazquez to reach home. Pinch-hitter Miguel Amaya followed with an infield single up the middle of the diamond for his first career hit in the majors. Madrigal raced home from second to score on the play.
