Marlins Walk Off Padres

The Miami Marlins pulled off a ninth-inning comeback with a 2-1 victory over the San Diego Padres on Wednesday night at loanDepot park. Both teams will complete their three-game on Thursday.
The Marlins are now 16-4 in one-run games this season. They jumped over the Pittsburgh Pirates in the National League standings and are tied with the New York Mets for the second wild-card spot.
San Diego(25-30) broke out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the third. Gary Sanchez, in his second game in a Padres uniform, ripped a solo home run to left field on a 2-2 pitch for his first homer of the year.
Miami(29-27) came back with two runs in bottom of the ninth against Padres relief pitcher Josh Hader to get the win. Jean Segura singled through the left side to score Yuli Gurriel with one out. After Segura stole third, he scored on a base hit by Nick Fortes down the first-base line.
