The Marlins added three more runs in the top of the fifth. Jon Berti hit a sacrifice fly to right field and Jacob Stallings crossed the plate. Two batters later, Arraez singled into center field and Jonathan Davis scored.
Gurriel scored on a sacrifice fly by Jacob Stallings in the top of the sixth. Davis later connected on a to right field for his first home run in a Marlins uniform to make it 7-1.
After a solo home run to left-center field on a 1-1 count by Elias Diaz for Colorado in the bottom of the sixth, the Fish responded back in the seventh inning. Jorge Soler powered a solo home run to left field on the first pitch of the frame for his 14th homer of the season and an 8-2 lead.
