Rockies Freeze Marlins

The Miami Marlins lost to the Colorado Rockies 5-4 at Coors Field on Tuesday night. The Marlins played in a one-run contest for the eighth time in their last 15 games.
Miami(24-25) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Jorge Soler smashed a solo home run to center field for his 13th homer of the season. He has compiled eight home runs in the last 18 games.
Colorado(21-28) made it 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth. Harold Castro singled up the middle to score Randal Grichuk.
The Rockies moved ahead 5-1 with four runs in the fifth inning. Charlie Blackmon knocked in Miguel Toglia on a double to the base of the center-field wall. Three batters later, Grichuk singled into center field for Blackmon and Jurickson Profar to cross the plate. Elias Diaz would score when Ryan McMahon hit into a force out.
The Marlins closed it to 5-3 in the top of the seventh. Garrett Cooper smacked a two-run homer to right field on the first pitch with Jon Berti aboard. It was the fourth home run by Cooper this year.
The Fish cut the lead again in the ninth inning to 5-4. Soler sliced a double into the right-field corner and Berti reached home to make it 5-4.
