Jordan Battle And Tyler Steen Drafted

     Two former St. Thomas Aquinas High School football players were chosen in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft on Friday night in Kansas City. University of Alabama defensive back Jordan Battle was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals 95th overall while Alabama offensive lineman Tyler Steen was taken by the Philadelphia Eagles with the 65th overall pick. 
     Battle played for the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders from 2015 to 2018. He contributed to the high school winning FHSAA Class 7A state titles in 2015 and 2016. Battle was in 52 games with the Crimson Tide and had six interceptions which resulted in three touchdowns. He won a BCS National Championship with Alabama in 2020. 
     Steen was at STA from 2014 to 2017 and captured three consecutive FHSAA Class 7A state championships in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Steen was with Vanderbilt University from 2018 until 2021 and became a graduate transfer to the Crimson Tide for the 2022 campaign.
