Marlins Slip By Diamondbacks

The Miami Marlins completed a six-game road trip as they beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-4 on Wednesday at Chase Field. The Marlins will be home on Friday night against the Cincinnati Reds.
Miami(19-19) got three runs in the top of the fourth. Jesus Sanchez blasted a three-run homer to center field on a 2-2 pitch for his third home run of the year. Jorge Soler and Luis Arraez scored in front of him on the play.
Arizona(20-17) answered back with four runs in the bottom of the frame and took a 4-3 lead. They had the bases loaded when Pavin Smith walked and Ketel Marte crossed the plate. Corbin Carroll would then score on a balk with Geraldo Perdomo batting. Perdomo drove in Lourdes Gurriel Jr. on a base hit to right field. The Diamondbacks finished the four-run rally as Smith scored on a ground out by Alek Thomas.
The Fish tied it up 4-4 in the fifth inning. Garrett Hampson singled through the left side for Peyton Burdick to score.
The Marlins regained the lead 5-4 in the top of the ninth. Bryan De La Cruz scored when Joey Wendle sliced a double into the left-field corner.
