Cards Slip By Marlins

    The St. Louis Cardinals came back with a three-run fourth inning to get by the Miami Marlins 3-2 on Saturday at Busch Stadium. Miami announced after the game Giancarlo Stanton would miss the All-Star Game with an right knee injury and will be out for at least one month. He was to be involved in the home run hitting contest in Kansas City on Monday.
    Kyle Lohse(9-2) beat the Fish for the third time this season as he went seven innings and gave up two runs on three hits. Carlos Zambrano(4-7) took the loss as he pitched five innings and let up three runs on seven hits.
    The Marlins got the first runs of the game in the second inning. Stanton got a lead-off single then Logan Morrison flew out to left field. Justin Ruggiano smacked a two-run homer, his sixth home run of the season, on a 1-0 pitch to left field.
    The Redbirds took their only lead with three runs in the fourth inning. Allen Craig started with a single to right field and went to second on a David Freese walk. Craig scored on an RBI-single by Skip Schumaker to left field. Santaluces High School grad Tony Lopez tripled to deep right field and brought in Freese and Schumaker for a 3-0 St. Louis lead.
