Lee Feldman Leaving WQAM
Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM Program Director Lee Feldman will step down from his position at the station on July 20 and head for a job in Costa Rica. He started as a weekend sports anchor and back-up midday sidekick/summer fill-in host on the Neil Rogers Show where he got the nickname Flee. Following the demise of that show, Feldman was elevated to promotions director and assistant program director. He was promoted to marketing director and later replaced Josh Darrow as WQAM program director in the spring of 2010. In an unusual business strategy, he allowed the acknowledgement of their competitor 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM directly and indirectly during promotional spots on the air.
Feldman was a disc jockey in Tampa Bay at WXTB-FM. He worked in Fort Myers at WJBX-FM as a program director and morning show host. He also had a stint with WZTA-FM in Miami as assistant program director and music director.
