Panthers Lose Wolski

Florida Panthers late-season pickup left wing Wojtek Wolski signed a one-year contract with the Washington Capitals on Wednesday. He was acquired from the New York Rangers by the Cats at the trade deadline last season and contributed to their first division title in franchise history. Wolski had four goals and five assists in 22 games with Florida.
The Panthers also signed free agent center Peter Mueller to a one-year deal. He played 32 games with the Colorado Avalanche last season and had seven goals and nine assists. Mueller began his NHL career with the Phoenix Coyotes.
