Gaby Sanchez Traded To Bucs

The Miami Marlins traded first baseman Gaby Sanchez and minor league pitcher Kyle Kaminska to the Pittsburgh Pirates for minor league outfielder Gorkys Hernandez. Sanchez was a Miami-Breto Private School grad and University of Miami grad. He had three home runs, 17 RBIs and a .202 batting average in 55 games this season. Sanchez began 2012 as the starting first baseman for the Marlins until he lost his spot to Carlos Lee, who was acquired in a trade from the Houston Astros earlier this month. Hernandez had a short stint with the Buccos earlier this season as he played 25 games and had 2 RBIs with a .083 batting average.
