Braves Slip By Marlins

     The Miami Marlins started off strong and were overcome by the Atlanta Braves 3-2 at Marlins Park on Friday night. The Braves jumped ahead of the Fish for first place in the National League East standings.
     In the first inning, Miami(28-26) picked two runs during their first time at the plate against Julio Teheran. Ed Lucas got a one-out single into right field then Giancarlo Stanton smashed his 16th home run of the season on a 1-2 pitch to center field.
     Tom Koehler held Atlanta(29-25) scoreless until the sixth inning. Justin Upton led off with a walk and Evan Gattis singled to right. Chris Johnson knocked in Upton with a base hit into right field and closed the gap to 2-1.
     The Bravos took the lead during the seventh inning. Teheran doubled to right and then scored on a triple by Jason Heyward to left-center field. B.J. Upton drove in the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly to left field.
     Teheran moved to 5-3 as he surrendered two runs on five hits in 7 1/3 innings. Koehler gave up three runs on seven hits in seven innings as he fell to 4-5 this season.
