Dodgers Rout Marlins

The Miami Marlins bad fortune on the road continued as they were handled by the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-1 on Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium. The Marlins, who extended their losing streak to five games, dropped to 3-15 away from Miami. The Dodgers look to go for a three-game sweep of the Fish on Wednesday.
The game was scoreless until Los Angeles(22-19) got to Jacob Turner in the sixth inning. Dee Gordon doubled to right with one out then Yasiel Puig walked. Former Marlin Hanley Ramirez followed with a two-run double into the left-field corner to score Gordon and Puig for a 2-0 lead. Adrian Gonzalez came up and drove in Ramirez with a double to right. Matt Kemp then got a base hit into left field to bring home Gonzalez.
Dan Jennings relieved for Turner and he gave up a single to Carl Crawford into right field which moved Kemp to third. Justin Turner popped a sacrifice fly to right for Kemp to cross the plate and make it 5-0.
Miami(20-20) picked up their only run in the top of the seventh. Garrett Jones led off with a double to right-center field, advanced to third on a passed ball and would score on a sacrifice fly to right field.
The Dodgers added a run in the bottom of the frame against A.J. Ramos. Pinch-hitter Chone Figgins was hit by a pitch and later stole second. After Gordon struck out, Puig knocked in Figgins when he smashed a double into deep center field.
LA extended their lead to 7-1 during the eighth inning with Steve Cishek on the mound. Crawford doubled to right field with one out and scored two batters later on a Drew Butera base hit to left.
Turner dropped to 0-1 as he surrendered four earned runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings. Beckett won his first game since September 30, 2012 as he allowed one run on four hits in 6 1/3 innings of work.
