Marlins Scrap Dodgers

The Miami Marlins extended their home winning streak to seven games as they got a 6-3 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Marlins Park on Friday night. The Marlins, who now have a season-high four game winning streak, moved to 13-4 at home this season which is the best in baseball.
Tom Koehler went seven innings for the Fish, gave up no runs on three hits and improved his record to 3-2. Former Marlin Josh Beckett allowed four runs on eight hits in 6 2/3 innings as he dropped to 0-1.
Jarrod Saltalamacchia celebrated his 29th birthday with a solo home run during the second inning for his sixth homer of the season. He hit a 1-0 pitch down the right-field line with one out.
Miami(15-14) made it 2-0 in the fourth inning. Saltalamacchia singled to right with two out and scored on a double by Garrett Jones to the warning track in right field.
In the seventh inning, the Marlins extended their margin with four more runs. Jones led off with a double into right field. Three batters later, he crossed the plate on a base hit to right-center field by Reed Johnson. Jose Dominguez would come in to relieve for Beckett after that at-bat.
Christian Yelich then tripled to left center and drove Johnson in to make it 4-0. After Derek Dietrich was hit by a pitch, Giancarlo Stanton followed with an infield single for Yelich to score. Casey McGehee finished the rally with an RBI-single to right field to bring in Dietrich.
Los Angeles(17-13) broke the shutout during the eighth inning against Carlos Marmol. Justin Turner walked, went to second on a wild pitch and scored on a base hit by Dee Gordon to center. Following a stolen base by Gordon, Yusiel Puig knocked him in on a single into left field.
The Dodgers picked up another run in the ninth inning off Marlins closer Steve Cishek. Miguel Olivo started with a triple to deep right-center field and scored on a ground out to second by Carl Crawford.
