The Miami Dolphins announced on Wednesday that their facility for home games in Miami Gardens will be named Hard Rock Stadium. The University of Miami Hurricanes football team also play their home games there.
A two-year renovation of the stadium will be completed prior to the start of the NFL season. The facility was called Joe Robbie Stadium when it opened up in 1987. It has changed the title of the place several times in the last three decades which included Pro Player Stadium, Dolphins Stadium, Dolphin Stadium, Land Shark Stadium and Sun Life Stadium.
