The Miami Marlins got their first look at the defending World Series champion Kansas City Royals on Tuesday night and lost 1-0 at Marlins Park. Miami(65-60) came into this homestand following a three-game sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates on the road.
The game remained scoreless through five innings. That changed in the top of the sixth for Kansas City(65-60) when Lorenzo Cain slapped a one-out single into center field which scored Paulo Orlando.
