Following a three-hour weather delay, the Fort Lauderdale Strikers shut out Miami FC 2-0 at FIU Stadium on Saturday night. The Strikers became the first team in the state to defeat all Florida-based NASL clubs.
Fort Lauderdale(2-5-1) failed to score in the first half for the eight straight game in all competitions. They compiled two goals during a three-minute span in the second half against Miami FC(3-2-2). Paulo Jr. scored in the 84th minute and Amauri followed with a tally in the 86th minute.
