The Fort Lauderdale Strikers played their first NASL home game at Central Broward Stadium on Saturday night and defeated the Ottawa Fury FC 3-1. Lockhart Stadium was the home field of the Strikers franchise from 1977 until last month.
The Strikers got on the scoreboard first in the 18th minute as Amauri got a tally. Ottawa(3-6-0) was able to tie the game on a goal by Carl Haworth ten minutes later.
