Tom D'Angelo and Anthony Chiang have been named the new Miami Heat beat reporters for the Palm Beach Post. They replace Jason Leiser who has moved over to Miami Dolphins coverage at that newspaper.
D'Angelo has worked at the Palm Beach Post since 1981 and has held numerous positions with that organization. He has been their main writer covering Florida State University athletics along with being a sports columnist. It is a return for him to cover the Miami Heat on a daily basis. He did write about the team for the newspaper 20 years ago.
Chiang first got noticed locally as a high school sports reporter for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. He left for the Palm Beach Post in 2013 to become the lead high school sports writer. He was later promoted to the University of Florida beat reporter spot in 2015.
