Jon Sciambi ESPN Radio Sunday Baseball

Former local sportscaster Jon "Boog Sciambi will continue as the radio play-by-play announcer of Sunday night baseball on ESPN Radio. It will be his 11th season at the post.
No word if Sciambi will be elevated to call the World Series on radio this year. Dan Shulman was used for the 2019 World Series by ESPN Radio, even though he worked a limited schedule with ESPN last year.
Sciambi was first noticed as an evening host on Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM. He was the studio host of the Florida Panthers Radio Network for the 1995-96 season. He took time off during their playoff run to work as a radio play-by-play announcer in the Northwest League.
He returned to the station and co-hosted a midday show with Florida Panthers original radio voice Chris Moore. Sciambi became the studio host of the Florida Marlins Radio Network in 1997. He added duties as their radio play-by-play announcer in 1999 and held that spot until 2004.
Sciamibi, a Boston College grad, had a stint as a midday host on Sports Talk 790 The Ticket in 2004 and 2005. He began to work part-time at ESPN television as a college basketball and baseball play-by-play announcer. Sciambi was the television play-by-play announcer of the Atlanta Braves from 2007 until 2009. He joined ESPN as a full-time employee as a television and radio play-by-play announcer in late 2009. Sciambi will announce several games on the Boston Red Sox Radio Network in 2020.
