Heat Slam Warriors

     The Miami Heat made their first appearance ever in San Francisco at Chase Center and defeated the Golden State Warriors 113-101 on Monday night. The Warriors had played their home games in Oakland since the 1970s.
     The Heat stopped a season-long, three-game losing streak. Andre Iguodala played against his former team for the first time. He helped them win three NBA championships and five consecutive Western Conference titles. 
     Miami(35-18) started with a 20-10 spurt, however Golden State(12-42) scored 10 straight points and were down 24-20 at the end of one quarter. The Heat outscored the Warriors by 15 points in the second and led 62-43 at halftime. Golden State began the second half with a 23-9 run and trailed 83-75 after three quarters. Miami moved the lead back up to 18 points with a 17-7 spurt to go ahead 100-82 with 7:36 remaining in the fourth.
     Heat newcomer Jae Crowder put up 21 points and eight rebounds while Jimmy Butler compiled 21 points and nine rebounds. Kelly Olynyk had a double-double with 12 points and a career-high 11 assists. Bam Adebayo got 13 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. Damion Lee dropped in a game-high 26 points for the Warriors and Andrew Wiggins contributed 18 points. Marquese Chriss narrowly had a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds.
