The Florida Panthers traded center Denis Malgin to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday. The Panthers received back forward Mason Marchment.
Malgin played the last four seasons with the Panthers. He had a 18 goals and 32 assists in 184 games during his career with Florida. Malgin compiled four goals and eight assists in 36 games this season.
Marchment , the son of former NHL player Bryan Marchment, mainly played with the Toronto Marlies in the American Hockey League in 2019-20. He was called up earlier this season to the Toronto Maple Leafs where he had one assists in four games.
