Hawks Soar Above Heat

     The Miami Heat returned to the court on Thursday night and were edged by the Atlanta Hawks 129-124 at State Farm Arena. It was their first contest since the NBA All-Star Game break. The Heat, who capped off a six-game road trip, last played a game back on February 12 in Utah.
     Miami(35-20) got up 36-32 after one quarter and led 64-63 at halftime. Atlanta(16-41) still trailed 97-90 at the end of three quarters. The Hawks tied the contest 124-124 with 54 seconds left in the fourth quarter on a three-point shot from the right wing by De'Andre Hunter. Cam Reddish stole the ball from Goran Dragic and made a slam dunk on a breakaway with 31.4 seconds to go for a two-point lead. Atlanta finished the game on a 19-9 run.
     Bam Adebayo compiled a double-double for the Heat with 28 points and 19 rebounds. Jimmy Butler contributed 17 points, nine assists and eight rebounds while Dragic added 19 points. Trae Young had a game-high 50 points for the Hawks along with eight assists.
