The Miami Marlins lost left-handed pitchers Jarlin Garcia and Jose Quijada on Monday. Garcia was picked up on waivers by the San Francisco Giants while the Los Angeles Angels nabbed Quijada.
Garcia played the last three seasons with the Marlins. He had a 4-2 record, 50 2/3 innings pitched, 39 strikeouts and a 3.09 earned-run-average in 53 relief appearances with the team during the 2019 season.
Quijada made his major league debut with the Fish in 2019. He finished with a 2-3 record in 29 2/3 innings, had 34 relief appearances, struck out 44 batters and surrendered 10 home runs.
