The Florida Panthers have traded center Vincent Trocheck to the Carolina Hurricanes for center Erik Haula and center Lucas Wallmark. The Panthers will also receive defenseman Chase Priskie and center Eetu Luostarinen.
Trocheck was with Florida for the past seven seasons. He compiled 111 goals and 171 assists in 420 games played with the club. Trocheck had 10 goals and 26 assists in 55 games this season. He led the Panthers to the Atlantic Division title in 2015-16.
Haula joined the Carolina Hurricanes for the 2019-20 campaign for his seventh season in the NHL. He has 12 goals and 10 assists in 41 games with the Canes this season. Haula helped the Vegas Golden Knights win the Western Conference title in their inaugural season in 2017-18.
Wallmark has played for the last four seasons with the Hurricanes. He participated in 60 games this season and chalked up 11 goals and 12 assists.
Priskie is a native Floridian and was born in Pembroke Pines. He had six goals and 25 assists for the Charlotte Checkers of the Ameican Hockey League in 2019-20. Luostarinen was with Carolina this season and had one assist in eight games.
