The Miami Heat defeated the Brooklyn Nets 116-113 at American Airlines Arena on Saturday night. The Heat, who have won their last two games, remained fourth in the Eastern Conference while the Nets dropped to the final playoff spot in the conference.
Brooklyn(26-33) had a 27-24 advantage after the first quarter. Miami(38-22) went on a 17-9 spurt to begin the second quarter and were up 57-49 by halftime. The Heat increased their margin by 11 points at the end of three quarters.
Miami got double-doubles from Goran Dragic of 19 points and 10 assists while Bam Adebayo picked up 16 points and 12 rebounds. Kendrick Nunn had a team-high 21 points for them. Spencer Dinwiddie chalked up game-highs of 25 points and 12 assists for Brooklyn to get the double-double.
