The Florida Panthers lost to the Columbus Blue Jackets 1-0 in overtime on Tuesday night at Nationwide Arena. The Panthers completed a six-game road trip will play a home game for the first time in three weeks on Thursday.
Neither team was able to score in the first three periods of the contest. It was the fourth time this season in the NHL that there was a 0-0 tie at the end of regulation time.
Florida(27-17-6) surrendered the game-winning goal at 1:54 of overtime. Mike Matheson gave the puck away on an outlet pass. Alexander Werenski skated through the low right circle and snapped a shot past Sergei Bobrovky to give Columbus(29-16-9) the victory.
