Chaminade-Madonna At Bishop Verot Preview

The Chaminade-Madonna Lions go to Fort Myers and challenge the Bishop Verot Vikings on Friday night. Both schools have high aspirations to make the FHSAA playoffs later this year.
Chaminade-Madonna(1-1) will play their first road game of the 2020 regular season. They defeated Champagnat Catholic 27-14 in the home opener and lost to the American Heritage Patriots 7-3 last week. Running back Thaddius Franklin was injured during the fourth quarter of the Lions previous contest. The team can use Brady Kelly and Jaylen Tolbert at quarterback. Wide receivers Brian Dilworth and Joshua Jenkins are expected to make catches downfield.
Bishop Verot(2-1) have won their last two games. After a season opener loss to Jesuit 28-21, the Vikings travelled to Delray Beach and shut out the American Heritage Stallions 19-0 followed by a home victory over Lakeland Christian 21-20. Quarterback Jacob Azizi can make long gains on runs. They will have running backs Cori Davis and Andrew Kelton make most of their carries. Wide receiver Malik Curtis is their primary threat on pass receptions.
