South Florida High School Football Update

High school football programs throughout the South Florida region are getting prepared for the 2020 season. Teams in the area are starting later than other schools inside the state of Florida and taking precautions concerning the coronavirus. Top Broward County schools such as FHSAA Class 7A state champion St. Thomas Aquinas and Cardinal Gibbons finally began outdoor sessions on Tuesday.
The defending three-time FHSAA Class 3A state champion Chaminade-Madonna Lions will be one of few schools that will have their season opener on Friday. They will host the defending FHSAA Class 2A state champion Champagnat Catholic Lions at Vince Zappone Field in Hollywood.
