Marlins Jumped By Braves

The Miami Marlins were passed by the Atlanta Braves 9-4 on Wednesday night at Truist Park. The magic number remains three for the Marlins to make the National League postseason.
Miami(28-28) raced out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning with a two-out rally. Jesus Aguilar smashed a solo homer to left field on a 2-0 pitch. Brian Anderson followed with solo home run to center field on a 3-1 count.
Atlanta(34-22) responded with a three runs in the bottom of the frame. Freddie Freeman doubled to right field and Ronald Acuna Jr. crossed the plate. Ozzie Albies then drove in Freeman with a base hit into center field. Former Marlins player Adeiny Hechavarria hit the ball up the middle up the middle for Albies to score.
In the third inning, the Braves made it 4-2. Hechavarria singled into shallow right field for another former Marlins player Marcell Ozuna to reach home.
The Marlins came back with two runs in the top of the fourth to tie it 4-4. Lewis Brinson drove in Anderson on a single to center. Brinson would score on a ground out by Jon Berti to third.
The Bravos responded with five more runs in the bottom of the fourth and regained the lead 9-4. The frame was capped on a three-run homer by Dansby Swanson to center field on a 1-1 pitch. Albies and Nick Markakis scored in front of Swanson on that play.
