Yankees Leap By Marlins

The Miami Marlins got beat by the New York Yankees 11-4 on Saturday at Yankee Stadium. The Marlins clinched a National League playoff spot on Friday to reach the postseason for the first time since 2003.
Miami(30-29) compiled three runs during the third inning. Miguel Rojas doubled into left field and Monte Harrison scored. Two batters later, Jon Berti drove in Rojas with a base hit to center field. Berti would score on a Matt Joyce single to left.
New York(33-26) made a move in the bottom of the fifth to even it up 3-3. Tyler Wade lifted a two-run homer to right field on the first pitch with Gary Sanchez aboard. Former Marlins player Giancarlo Stanton nailed a double into the left-center field gap to score Aaron Judge.
The Yankees took the lead with seven runs in the sixth inning to go ahead 10-3. After a Gio Urshela walk, Aaron Hicks blasted a two-run home run to right-center field on a 2-1 count. D.J. LeMahieu hit a two-run double to left field for Clint Frazier and Sanchez to reach home. Luke Voit eventually crushed a three-run homer on a 3-2 pitch to right-center field. LeMahieu and Stanton scored in front of him on the play.
