Marlins Walk Off Victory Over Phillies

     The Miami Marlins downed the Philadelphia Phillies 7-6 at Marlins Park on Thursday night. The Marlins got their first walk-off win this season. They compiled five of them back in 2019.
     It was the first contest of a seven-game series between both clubs. The Marlins also began their final home stand of the 2020 regular season. They will play 15 home games in the next 11 days. 
     The Phillies got on the scoreboard in the top of the first. J.T. Realmuto grounded out to short and Rhys Hoskins crossed the plate. 
     The Marlins matched it in the bottom of the first. Starling Marte doubled into left field for Corey Dickerson to score.
     Philadelphia(21-19) added two more runs to go up 3-1 in the second inning. Alec Bohm knocked in Andrew Knapp on a single to right. Bohm then scored on a base hit to left by Adam Haseley. 
     Miami(20-19) put up one run during the third inning. Dickerson was able to score on a sacrifice fly by Matt Joyce to center. 
     The Phils expanded their lead to 5-2. Bohm lined a single into left field to score Didi Gregorius. Haseley came up and drove in Jean Segura on a sacrifice bunt.
     The Fish put up a run in the bottom of the fourth. Jorge Alfaro hit a ground out to second which brought in Garrett Cooper.  
     In the fifth inning, the Phillies added another run to make it 6-3. Realmuto powered a solo home run to left-center field on a 0-2 pitch for his 11th homer of the season. 
     Miami came back in the eighth inning with three runs to tie the contest 6-6. The bases were loaded when Marte doubled into deep right field to score Cooper, Jazz Chisholm and Dickerson. 
     The Marlins picked up a walk-off victory in the bottom of the ninth. Alfaro ripped a base hit up the middle for Monte Harrison to reach home.
