Former local sportswriter Dieter Kurtenbach has been an evening host on KNBR-AM in San Francisco since October. He is currently a sports columnist for Bay Area News Group.
Kurtenbach, a 2006 University of Missouri grad, started locally as a sports reporter at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel from 2011 to 2014. He worked at SB Nation as a college football reporter in 2014 and 2015. Kurtenbach also was a senior staff writer for KNBR.com from 2014 to 2016.
He moved on to Fox Sports as a senior writer and was there from April 2015 until June 2017. Kurtenbach returned to San Francisco and become a Bay Area News Group sports columnist in 2017.
